I am a mother trying to make sense of World Lit 1, as my son's teacher is a first time IB teacher and it appears that my son has had very little guidance or structure on the matter.
ReplyDeleteIs there a website I can tap into to make sure his topic meets all the criteria. In essence he is comparing Mama Elena and Esteban Trueba from "Like Water for Chocolate" and "The House of the Spirits" as characters who while aiming for respectibility and family unity, actually are divisive influences and weaken the family unit.
Did your son ever happen to graduate? What about his World Lit grade? Sorry I could not be any help in 2011?
